Mini-Z Modified Class


This class was created for experienced racers who also may have highly modified cars. This also meets the HFAY "Racer Class" requirements for those also wanting to compete in the HFAY series. Cars that meet the "Stock Class" specification are also allowed to race here. Only Kyosho chassis are permitted in "Modified" at TTH. GLR, Atomic, PN 2.5, or other similar (non Kyosho) chassis are only to be run in our "Open Class".

Motor

  • Brushed
    • Stock Mini-Z Motor (No X-speed or similar), PN 70 Turn Motor. There is no FET limit on the cars, so this motor works out quite well for this rule.
  • Brushless
    • All motors with a 3500 or lower KV rating are legal. Including but not limited to PN, Atomic, GL-Racing, X-power

Electronics 

  • Kyosho & PN electronics only. This includes the ASF 2.4ghz, and FHS 2.4ghz and the AD Band ESCs, MR-03S, Brushless Mini-Z or VE boards* (see motor spec for limitation when running the VE boards). The PN Spektrum MR-02 and 03 Boards are allowed as well. FET modifications and capacitors are allowed.

Wheels

  • Any production Mini-Z specific wheels (wheels must fit inside the body)
    • Front 8.5mm x 20mm
    • Rear 11mm x 20mm

Tires

  • Kyosho/PN rubber compound tires only (no silicone or foam)
    • Front 8.5mm
    • Rear 11mm
  • Traction compounds NOT allowed on tires or race surface

Pinion

  • Any

Differential

  • Any

Body

  • Any production hard plastic Mini-Z specific body (98mm)
    • Kyosho Auto Scale / White Body
    • TRP Scale
    • JOMUREMA
    • GLR
  • Lexan windows are allowed

Batteries

  • AAA NiMH only – 4pcs

Permitted Modifications

Any modification outside of what is detailed below must be openly discussed and approved.

  • Alloy
    • Any aftermarket alloy parts are allowed.
  • Bearings
    • Any type
  • Suspension
    • Any aftermarket production suspension upgrades are allowed, as long as they operate in a "stock" manner.
  • Hop-Ups
    • Hop-ups may include any of the following: wheels, motor mounts, knuckles, tie rods, ball diffs, front/rear springs, H-plates, etc. (basically hop-ups are limited to any suspension and handling upgrades, motor mounts and battery clips.)
